INTERPOL says its International Child Sexual Exploitation (ICSE) database has helped identify 65,181 child victims and 26,840 offenders across 75 countries since 2011, including nearly 5,800 victims identified in 2026 as of July 31. The organization used the UN International Day of Police Cooperation to call for stronger cross-border information sharing and coordinated investigations as child sexual exploitation, trafficking, cybercrime and organized crime increasingly span multiple jurisdictions. INTERPOL Secretary General Valdecy Urquiza said international cooperation is critical to identifying victims faster, locating offenders and preventing borders from impeding investigations.
